Here is Cora on Halloween night. She was a little kitten!

Our little Talker...

Wow! I am really embarrassed at how long it has been since we last blogged. Cora is growing and changing so much every day! Right now she is a little over 4 1/2 months and she is 17 1/2 pounds. She gives us a work-out carrying her around everywhere. She still has such a sweet personality and she really likes to hear herself talk; it is pretty cute because she can really get going. She is rolling over and she likes to stand up and sit up. She always wants to know what is going on in this big world. She loves her tummy time and her "Tea Time" exercauser. It is so neat to watch her grow and watch the learning that is taking place. Each day she does something new and is so fun to watch! She has been really interested in the dogs; especially Toby. She will follow his every move and then she will start talking to him. Toby loves to give Cora kisses on her toes and anywhere else if he can get away with it. We are really enjoying this time and each day that comes with new adventures with Cora!

She's Here!!

Well, Cora Ann Wentworth finally arrived on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11:36 pm. She was 9 lbs. 3 ozs. and 21 inches long. It's amazing that she was growing inside me this intire time and now she is here. She has a very sweet disposition and she only cries when she needs something. Right now she is a little mixed up with her days and nights, but we are told she will get on track eventually. Needless to say Clint and I are getting used to sleepless nights. We are still learning what her cries mean and what it is she needs. Parenthood is amazing and definately nothing you can completely expect. We are learning so much each day and even though we are exhausted most of the time we are learning how to work together and we are enjoying getting to know our little girl!

Almost There!!!

So it has been a while since either one of us last posted. Many apologies. Now that everything has slowed down a bit I can get on here again. It is like the calm before the storm. Well I am really slowing down; I get up slower, I move slower no matter how fast I try to get and I even roll over more slowly in bed. Cora is still making herself known in there. She has been pretty active throughout the day, but it is more like long stretches. I think she is running out of space in there. I will feel a foot or a fist or a butt; I don't ever really know what it is. The other day I felt either a hand or a foot and it just kept slowly rolling across my stomach it is the most weird and neat experience all at the same time! Last night was the first night I couldn't really sleep because I was thinking about baby stuff. Things like: "Do we have everything we need?", "Is the house ready and in order the way I want it to be?", "Will I really know when I am in labor or are we going to have to have an emergency delivery right here?". I realized sometime late last night that everything is not going to be perfect and will most likely not turn out any way I am imagining it or expecting it to happen, but Cora will come at the perfect time and everything else will work out. I am try to think positive here and I think there are just so many unknowns of a first time mom-to-be. Clint and I are definitely getting excited and nervous, but mostly excited. We know things are really going to change; for the better of course!! I think at this point we are as ready as we wil ever be. We have all of the baby things set up, we have our hospital bags packed by request of Clint; we have all the little baby clothes washed and folded now we just wait. Anyways please keep me in your thoughts as the day nears; only a few weeks and little Miss Wentworth will be here!! We will try to be better about blogging. Much love to everyone and until next time!!

Here I am with my loyal picture companion at 16 weeks.

Here I am at 25 weeks
In Galveston at 28 weeks

Wow! 31 weeks only 9 more weeks!!

Here is a partial picture of the baby room. I will have to work on generating some more pictures!

This is Cora, check out those lips and cheeks, yeah!

Well, things are getting pretty real around here. We have been organizing and getting ready for the newest member of the clan. We have more or less completed Cora's room and we have a few little details to address. Clint has already set up the bassinet in our room, the baby swing and our stroller travel system. It is becoming more of a reality!! At this point we have 7 1/2 weeks left. It is all very exciting and overwhelming at the same time. We are really looking forward to parenthood, but I know we are going be learning a lot and we will be humbled on many occasions I am sure. I think we are a pretty good team so I am pretty confident that Cora will be in good hands!! I think it will definitely be important to keep a sense of humor about everything; so that is the plan. Thanks for all of the support from all of our family and friends thus far. Until next time I'm going to take it easty err, I mean take it easy.

The Blogining

So, it just occurred to me that if we actually keep up with this blog it will be something cool for Cora to read when she can. However I imagine this will be used primarily as a medium to post pictures/videos of the little cutie. She won't be born for a little while yet so this will have to suffice. Check this out, it should get you in the baby mood, I know it did for me. To you loyal few that will actually look at this on a regular basis: I apologize in advance for my own perverse sense of humor. I'm sure Naomi's posts will make more sense.
